Terms of Service
Last Updated: January 1, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Atlas Browser website and its services ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
Atlas Browser is an independent website that primarily offers instructional guides, onboarding assistance, and customer support for using a browser experience powered by Perplexity's Comet technology. Atlas Browser does not publish, own, develop, or operate any proprietary browser software. The paid product offered on this website is a digital guide, not browser software.
IMPORTANT: If you purchase any digital product through Atlas Browser (such as the Atlas Browser AI Complete Guide), you additionally acknowledge that: (a) you are making a ONE-TIME payment for digital guide content, NOT subscribing to a recurring service; (b) the underlying browser experience is built on and powered by Perplexity's Comet technology, and the browser will display Comet and Perplexity branding and features by design; (c) the browser software itself is free to obtain and use — your payment is solely for the premium digital guide content offered on this website.
2. License and Use
2.1 License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the digital guide content, instructional materials, and support services provided on this website, subject to these Terms. This license applies SOLELY to Atlas Browser's own digital guide content and support services, and does NOT grant any license to the underlying browser software, which is provided by Perplexity under its own separate terms. Access to certain premium digital content, such as the Atlas Browser AI Complete Guide, requires a one-time purchase.
2.2 Permitted Use
You may:
- Access and read the digital guide and instructional content for your personal reference
- Follow the installation, setup, and usage instructions contained in the guide for your own use
- Contact our priority email support for guidance-related questions within the scope defined in Section 7.2
- Reference the guide content while installing and using the Comet-powered browser experience on your own devices
2.3 Prohibited Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute the digital guide content in whole or in part
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices in the guide content
- Use the Service to transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Interfere with or disrupt the website or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems, accounts, or paid content
- Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the guide content without written permission
- Misrepresent yourself as being affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing Atlas Browser
3. Underlying Browser Technology and Third-Party AI Services
3.1 Browser Technology Is Provided by a Third Party
The browser experience that our guide helps you install and use is powered by Perplexity's Comet technology and is NOT developed, owned, or operated by Atlas Browser. Any AI-powered features available in that browser experience — including but not limited to the following — are provided by Perplexity through the Comet technology, not by Atlas Browser:
- Context-aware browsing assistance
- Intelligent tab organization and categorization
- Automated task completion and workflow assistance
- Search with source citations powered by Perplexity's Comet technology
- Content summarization and analysis
3.2 AI Limitations and Accuracy
The AI features described in Section 3.1 are provided by Perplexity and are subject to the limitations of AI systems generally. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
- AI responses are not professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.)
- You are responsible for verifying important information
- AI features require an internet connection to function
- Atlas Browser does not control, operate, or warrant the accuracy of AI output produced by the underlying Comet technology
3.3 Comet Branding and Third-Party Services
The browser experience you install using our guide is built on Perplexity's Comet technology. This means:
- The browser interface, features, and user experience are derived from Comet technology and are provided by Perplexity, not by Atlas Browser
- You will see Perplexity and/or Comet branding, logos, URLs, and interface elements throughout the browser — this is by design and is expected behavior, not a bug or error
- Search results, AI responses, and browsing functionality are powered by Perplexity's infrastructure
- Some browser pages or features may redirect to or display content from perplexity.ai or comet domains — this is normal operation
- Use of these AI features may be subject to additional terms and conditions from Perplexity
- Some advanced AI features may require a separate Perplexity subscription, which is an independent service not offered by Atlas Browser
Atlas Browser's role is limited to providing independent guide content, installation instructions, tutorials, and priority email support to help users access the Comet-powered browser experience. The underlying browser technology itself is provided by Perplexity.
3.4 Independent Service Disclaimer
Atlas Browser is an independent guide and support service built around Perplexity's Comet technology. Atlas Browser is NOT the official publisher, owner, operator, developer, or authorized reseller of the underlying browser software. References to "Atlas Browser" throughout these Terms refer to our guide and support service and the website offering it — not to any proprietary browser product.
- We do not develop, publish, distribute, or maintain the browser software itself
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially partnered with Perplexity or Comet
- Our relationship to the underlying browser is that of an independent third-party guide and support provider
- Any guarantees, support obligations, or warranties relating to the browser software itself are the sole responsibility of its actual publisher (Perplexity), not Atlas Browser
- Paying Atlas Browser for the Guide does not grant you any license, entitlement, or support rights with respect to the underlying browser software beyond what Perplexity itself provides under its own terms
4. User Accounts and Data
4.1 Account Security
If you create an account, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
4.2 Data and Privacy
Your use of Atlas Browser is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.
4.3 No Subscription or Account Management Required
Atlas Browser does not operate on a subscription model. There are NO recurring charges, NO auto-renewal, and NO subscription fees associated with Atlas Browser or the Atlas Browser AI Complete Guide. Because there is no subscription:
- There is no subscription management portal or account dashboard
- There are no recurring billing cycles to cancel
- There are no monthly or annual fees
- Your one-time purchase (if any) does not auto-renew or generate future charges
- You will never be charged again by Atlas Browser unless you make a separate, new purchase
If you see any recurring charges on your payment method, they are NOT from Atlas Browser. Please check with your bank or payment provider to identify the source.
5. Availability and Updates
5.1 Service Availability
We strive to maintain Atlas Browser's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
5.2 Updates and Modifications
We may:
- Release updated versions of the Guide content, tutorials, and instructions
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, website, or Guide at any time
- Change these Terms with notice to users
Continued use of the Service after updates or changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
5.3 Regional Availability and Network Requirements
Service availability may vary significantly by country, region, and local network conditions. In some regions — including but not limited to mainland China — access to the underlying browser technology, AI services, installation servers, or third-party infrastructure may be restricted, throttled, or entirely unavailable due to local network policies, ISP restrictions, DNS interference, firewalls, or other factors outside of Atlas Browser's control.
- In such regions, users may be required to use a VPN, proxy, modified DNS settings, or other third-party network tools at their own discretion and responsibility in order to complete installation or access features
- Atlas Browser is NOT responsible for restrictions imposed by local governments, regulators, or Internet Service Providers
- Atlas Browser is NOT responsible for network filtering, DNS interference, firewall blocking, or any similar third-party interference
- Atlas Browser does NOT guarantee the availability of Perplexity or Comet infrastructure in any specific region
- Atlas Browser does NOT advise on, and takes NO responsibility for, the legality of using VPN, proxy, or similar tools under your local laws — you are solely responsible for complying with applicable laws in your jurisdiction
- Atlas Browser is NOT responsible for any failure of installation or features caused by regional network conditions, local infrastructure, or third-party service outages
Purchasers are solely responsible for verifying that their local network environment permits access BEFORE completing a purchase. Regional network restrictions, blocked access, or any inability to reach Atlas Browser's, Perplexity's, or Comet's servers from your location do NOT constitute grounds for a refund, chargeback, or dispute.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Rights
Atlas Browser, including its design, features, code, and branding, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
6.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you create or submit through Atlas Browser. By using the AI features, you grant us a limited license to process your queries and data as necessary to provide the Service.
7. Paid Digital Products and Services
7.1 Service Description
Atlas Browser offers a paid digital product: the "Atlas Browser AI Complete Guide" (the "Guide"). The Guide is a digital information product delivered electronically upon purchase. It is not a physical product and no physical goods are shipped. IMPORTANT: The Guide is available as a ONE-TIME PURCHASE ONLY. There is NO subscription, NO auto-renewal, NO recurring billing, and NO ongoing charges of any kind. You will be charged exactly once at the time of purchase. The browser software itself is FREE to download and use — your payment is solely for the premium Guide content.
7.2 What Is Included
Upon purchase, you will receive immediate access to the following digital guide content:
- A complete download and installation guide for the Comet-powered browser experience across all supported platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- A detailed AI features tutorial with step-by-step instructions and screenshots
- Professional tips: Comet-powered keyboard shortcuts and hidden features
- Priority email support — which provides response assistance, step-by-step written guidance, and troubleshooting suggestions only. Priority support does NOT include any guarantee of issue resolution, remote installation, on-device or remote-access support, live chat, phone support, or compatibility remediation for your specific hardware, operating system, or network environment
The Guide provides instructional content and written support only. Atlas Browser does NOT guarantee successful installation, operation, or compatibility in every jurisdiction, network environment, or device configuration. Successful use of the browser experience depends on factors outside of Atlas Browser's control, including your hardware, operating system, local network conditions, regional availability, and the availability of third-party services such as Perplexity and Comet infrastructure.
7.3 Pricing and Payment
The price of the Guide is displayed at the time of purchase. All prices are in US Dollars (USD). Payment is processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. You will see "ATLASBROWSER" or a similar descriptor on your bank or credit card statement. By completing a purchase, you agree to pay the displayed one-time price and authorize a single, non-recurring charge to your chosen payment method. No further charges will be made to your payment method by Atlas Browser.
7.4 Delivery
The Guide is delivered digitally. Upon successful payment, you will be immediately redirected to the Guide content. Access is provided instantly and does not depend on email delivery or physical shipment.
Delivery is deemed COMPLETE once the purchaser is shown, redirected to, or otherwise granted access to the Guide content page following successful payment — regardless of whether the purchaser subsequently downloads, reads, follows, or successfully applies the instructions, and regardless of whether the purchaser is able to complete installation of the underlying browser software in their specific environment. Once access has been granted, the digital product is considered fully delivered for all purposes, including any subsequent refund, chargeback, or dispute evaluation.
7.5 No Refund Policy
Due to the digital nature of the Guide, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds, returns, exchanges, or credits will be issued under any circumstances once the purchase is completed and digital access has been granted. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are purchasing a digital product that is delivered and accessible immediately upon payment
- You waive any right to a cooling-off period or right of withdrawal to the extent permitted by applicable law
- The no-refund policy applies regardless of whether you have accessed, downloaded, or used the Guide content
- You understand that this is a one-time payment and NOT a subscription
- You have reviewed and accepted these Terms of Service before completing your purchase
This policy is in accordance with standard digital goods practices, as the product cannot be "returned" once delivered. In rare cases, Atlas Browser may, at its sole and absolute discretion, offer a goodwill refund. Any such goodwill refund does not create a precedent, obligation, or right for future refund requests.
7.6 Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company for a legitimate purchase constitutes a violation of these Terms. Before initiating any dispute with your financial institution, you agree to:
- Contact Atlas Browser support at [email protected] first to attempt to resolve the issue
- Allow a reasonable response time of up to 48 hours for support inquiries
- Provide accurate information about your concern or complaint
Fraudulent chargebacks (disputes filed for legitimate purchases where the digital product was delivered as described) may result in: (a) termination of your access to all Atlas Browser services and digital content; (b) being prohibited from future purchases; (c) collection efforts for the disputed amount plus any fees incurred by Atlas Browser as a result of the chargeback. Atlas Browser reserves the right to contest any chargeback and provide evidence of digital delivery to your financial institution.
7.7 Optional Third-Party Services
Atlas Browser utilizes Perplexity's Comet technology. Certain optional advanced AI features may require a separate Perplexity subscription, which is an independent service subject to Perplexity's own pricing and payment terms. We do not process payments for these third-party subscriptions.
7.8 Pre-Purchase Acknowledgment
By clicking the purchase button and completing payment, you explicitly acknowledge and confirm that you understand the following:
- You are purchasing the Atlas Browser AI Complete Guide, a digital information product offered by an independent guide and support service
- You are NOT purchasing any proprietary browser software (the underlying browser experience is powered by Perplexity's Comet technology and is free to obtain)
- Atlas Browser is NOT the official publisher, owner, or operator of the underlying browser software, and is NOT affiliated with or endorsed by Perplexity or Comet
- You are NOT subscribing to a recurring service — this is a single, one-time charge
- The browser experience you install will display Comet and Perplexity branding and features by design
- Digital delivery is immediate and final — no refunds will be issued once access to the Guide has been granted
- There is no subscription to cancel and no account management portal is required
- You have verified that your local network environment permits access to the underlying browser technology and services; where regional restrictions apply (for example, in mainland China), you acknowledge you may need to use a VPN, proxy, or other third-party network tools at your own discretion, responsibility, and legal risk
- You understand that priority email support provides written guidance only and does NOT guarantee successful installation or resolution of environment-specific, regional, or device-specific issues
- Regional network restrictions or any inability to reach third-party servers from your location do NOT constitute grounds for a refund or chargeback
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE ATLAS BROWSER WEBSITE, GUIDE CONTENT, AND SUPPORT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service, website, or Guide content will meet your requirements or expectations
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The Guide content, instructions, or tutorials will result in successful installation or use in every environment, jurisdiction, or device configuration
- AI-generated results produced by the underlying Comet technology will be accurate, complete, or reliable (such output is produced by Perplexity's infrastructure, not by Atlas Browser)
- The underlying browser software, Perplexity services, or Comet infrastructure will be available in your region or remain available at any given time
- Any defects or errors in the Guide content will be corrected within any particular timeframe
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ATLAS BROWSER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
- Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
- Any bugs, viruses, or malware that may be transmitted through the Service
- Any errors or omissions in any content or AI-generated responses
- Any conduct of third parties using the Service
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Atlas Browser and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Any content you submit or generate using the AI features
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Atlas Browser website, Guide content, and support services at any time, with or without cause or notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.
You may stop using the Service at any time by discontinuing access to the website and Guide content.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property rights, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, no-refund policy, and chargeback provisions.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Atlas Browser shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
Before pursuing any formal dispute resolution, you agree to first contact Atlas Browser at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the matter informally for a period of at least thirty (30) days.
13. General Provisions
13.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Atlas Browser regarding the Service.
13.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
13.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
13.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
